At the Department of Psychology of the University of Basel, a position as Senior Researcher (Post-Doc) is to be filled by July 1st, 2021 (or by arrangement) within the Division of Developmental and Personality Psychology. The position is limited to four years.

Your position

The job holder is in charge of the practical implementation of the web-based longitudinal project Person-ality Change in the Light of Relationship Transitions in Romantic Couples and Singles, granted by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Working language may be English; German skills for everyday conversations are required (B1). Teaching is possible, but not compulsory. The employment includes the supervision of bachelor and master theses. The holder of the position is expected to be highly com-mitted to research, to publish as first- and co-author in close collaboration with the team and to contrib-ute to advancing follow-up applications.

Your profile
  • Doctorate (PhD) in Psychology, preferably with a specialization in developmental or personality psychology
  • Dedicated pursuit of an academic career
  • Experience in the organization, implementation, and evaluation of longitudinal studies (preferably web-based)
  • Very good advanced methodological and statistical skills
  • Peer-reviewed publications as a first and co-author
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High degree of self- and group organizational skills
  • Team orientation
  • Very good knowledge of English (for non-native English-speaking applicants)
