The Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct high quality research in the area of Graph Database.

The Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute (AAII) is a research institute in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Located in the heart of Sydney at the City campus, AAII has been created as a world-leading source of knowledge and expertise in machine learning, data mining and knowledge discovery, data sciences, social robotics, advanced recommender systems and data-driven decision support systems.

Detailed Description

The successful candidate will be under supervision of A/Professor Lu Qin at the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute, UTS. The incumbent will develop fundamental research and industry engagement programs. The role will support the continuing development of theoretical foundations and technology advances for Graph Database within AAII/SoCS/FEIT.

About you:
  • A PhD Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated track record in the area of Graph Database through high quality research publications (in top Journals/conferences in the related areas).
  • Demonstrated experience in the research of Graph Database.
  • Evidence of initiative and self-motivation, leadership, and readiness to take responsibility for initiating and delivering research in relation to activities.
  • Ability to in work productively on industry projects or international projects.
  • Ability to mentor undergraduate, honours, Masters or high degree research (HDR) students.
  • Ability to develop competitive grant proposals or industry links and projects.
