This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing editorial team within Wiley Research Product Management. This position is within the Whole Organism Biology team, working on proprietary and society-owned or affiliated journals within Wiley's life sciences portfolio, with a focus on conservation, ecology, evolutionary and developmental biology, fisheries and zoology. A strong interest or education in a relevant scientific field would be advantageous though not required.

How you will make an impact:
  • Provide general administrative and research support to journal publishers in the administration of the journal program,
  • Contribute to overall global objectives at divisional and departmental levels.
  • Handle the timely processing of financial payments to editors, scholarly societies and other external vendors,
  • Maintain and updating journal information both internally and externally,
  • Collect/collate relevant data and conducting project-based research to guide the journal publishers and editors in editorial and business decisions and drive journal development
  • Prepare reports for both internal and external consumption
  • Organize meetings to maintain existing business and support new business development.
  • Frequent communication with authors, editors, and society contacts, and provide administrative support while collaborating with colleagues across various departments to achieve goals and objectives.

We are looking for people who have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required
  • Academic publishing experience and knowledge of peer-review process is preferred
  • Experience/education/proven interest in the life sciences is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills are essential
  • Excellent time management / a proven ability to prioritize multiple projects is essential
  • Experience with database/file management software is preferred
  • A high level of competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point, is preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to be resourceful, efficient and adaptive to change
  • Problem solving skill set
  • A proven ability to work in a team environment and take initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
