Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist (FISH Technologist) in Lake Forest, CA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

This opportunity is with a rapidly growing, CLIA licensed and CAP accredited laboratory, which follows GLP and GCP. They are a leading provider of pre-clinical and clinical trial services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Laboratory services include immunohistochemistry, FISH, CTC isolation and characterization, chemosensitivity testing, tissue procurement, flow cytometry, ELISA, mutation testing, cell expansion, and colony forming assays.

The CLS will perform wet-lab fluorescence in situ hybridization FISH , immunohistochemistry, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and other testing as needed. This is a full-time day shift position working Monday Friday from 5:00AM-1:30PM.

Candidates must be CLS or CCGS certified/license and have experience performing FISH analysis ( PCR experience would be a plus).

Responsibilities:
  • Perform wet-lab FISH Review FISH results using a fluorescence microscope
  • Perform immunohistochemistry using automated and manual methods
  • Perform PCR for non-clinical studies or where allowed by law
  • Prepare reagents, solutions and control slides.
  • Perform dilution calculations and make dilutions.

Requirements:
  • Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist CLS license or California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist CCGS license required.
  • Bachelor s degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field required.
  • Experience with GLP regulations highly preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in a high-volume clinical lab performing wet-lab FISH solid tumor FISH technical component and review.
  • Due to the responsibilities, candidate must have the ability to distinguish between red and green.
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry, PCR, ELISA, and cell culture preferred.
