The role
The School of Accounting and Finance (formerly part of the School of Economics, Finance and Management) is recruiting an Administrative Assistant to join their Executive Support Team. This team plays a pivotal role in supporting the School's academics, fellow professional services staff and bespoke teams; marketing, international, research, employability and alumni.
What will you be doing?
You will be first point of contact and cover a wide range of duties including ordering/maintenance of IT/Office equipment, reporting/monitoring building issues, servicing committees, assisting in the administration of Accounting and Finance seminar series, assisting in the organisation and facilitation of workshops/conferences and the drafting/collation of the School's internal communications including our monthly newsletter.
You should apply if
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service skills who is comfortable liaising with internal and external customers alike, with a flexible approach to working in a busy team.
You should possess a high level of accuracy and flexibility, as well as excellent organisational and customer service skills. You should be a good team player and have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of colleagues on a daily basis. In addition, you should be experienced in using a range of IT systems and be able to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
