Kelly is hiring a Scientist I for one of our biotechnology clients in Spring House
Pennsylvania

  • pay $33/hr
  • Masters +2 years experience or BS + 4 years experience needed
  • Minimum 1 year contract

General Summary:

Designs, conducts and interprets biological experiments to support development programs and identifies biological pathways and agents. Provides biological scientific support to technology and product development. Reviews scientific and technical summaries, and provides recommendations for potential business applications. Duties & Responsibilities: Performs cell-based assays including the following desired techniques: FACS, ELISA, MSD, cytotoxicity assays, immune cell isolation from whole blood or tissues, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, qRT-PCR, and transfection and cloning of stable cell lines. Occasionally may be involved in biomarker identification and development. Utilizes state-of-the-art knowledge to perform tasks. Maintains accurate documentation and timely reporting. Performs data analysis and interpretation; gives scientific input based on current literature. Operates laboratory equipment. Utilizes computer software packages. Prepares standards, reagents and controls according to established procedures.

Work Experience: M.S./M.A. in life sciences with 2+ years of experience or a B.S./B.A. in life sciences with 4+ years of experience is required. Knowledge of oncology, hematology, or immunology and drug discovery experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment is a plus.
