Learning is for everyone and so is our workplace. Bring your experiences, your perspectives, and your passion. It's in our differences that we empower the way the world learns.

We are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven, and organized professional to join the editorial team as an Editorial Assistant for Wiley's General Social Sciences and Humanities journal publishing program - and to play crucial role in a key Wiley business.

How you will make an impact:

• You will be responsible for supporting journal publishing managers in the administration of their programs. This will include a combination of administrative support and strategic business planning, including analysis of key market trends and reporting to support internal and external strategy decisions. In addition, you will manage your own journal portfolio in an assigned subject area.

• You will be charged with ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, including communication with researchers, editors, scholarly societies, and other external partners, plus inter- and intradepartmental collaboration. Provide administrative support for the rollout of new policies and practices, including collating of feedback from teams and external contacts.

• Prepare first drafts of annual and other periodic reports, resolve simple queries independently, monitor progress, and chase overdue reports from other departments.

· Work closely with the marketing team to ensure journal homepages on Wiley Online Library are kept up to date, making periodic website updates, entering any new data, amending features, analyzing usage, creating special features pages, and linking to social networking sites.

· Provide regular data and analytics on an ad hoc basis using the various Wiley databases available (QlikSense, Web of Science, InCites). Liaise with societies and communicate the context and information to society partners.

· Work with Accounts Payable team to ensure routine and non-routine payments and invoices are mailed according to schedule.

· Organize meetings with journal editors, attending and taking minutes where appropriate, supervising catering arrangements, and processing payment of expenses.

• The Editorial Assistant role provides excellent opportunities for developing key administrative skills, including management of external vendor and customer relationships, which contribute toward Wiley's global objectives of success in professional publishing.

We are looking for people who have:

• A demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time independently; able to shift focus quickly.

• An enthusiastic and uncompromisingly professional; eagerness to learn and to be a team player.

• The ability to work quickly, accurately, and diplomatically under pressure; creative problem solver.

• Basic experience with web developer tools.

• Highly collaborative with good verbal and written communication skills.

• Attention to deadlines a must.

• University degree or Associates degree or equivalent experience. A background in social sciences or the humanities is desirable but not essential.

• Wiley is a Microsoft Office 365-based workplace and provides training opportunities at all levels, including our proprietary web design tools.
