Employer

Location

Salary
£33,797 to £40,322 p.a.
Closing date

Are you interested in developing your change consulting skill-set to support the delivery of complex transformational change across a variety of service areas?

Are you interested in bringing your experience of service-based change and continuous improvement to promote a people-centred approach to change in one of the largest higher education institutions in the UK?

The University of Leeds is currently progressing a transformational change programme: the Corporate Processes and Systems (CPS) Programme. This is a multi-million pound, 3-5 year programme focused on the review and development of the operating models and structures of key professional services including Finance, Human Resources, Procurement and Operational Planning. These changes will entail the introduction of new processes, technology and ways of working which in turn will have a wide range of people implications - for Service Providers and Service Users.

We are looking to recruit a People & Change Adviser to join our highly collaborative and supportive People & Change Work Stream and support a varied portfolio of change initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a range of activities from scoping changes and developing solutions to address these, through to planning and supporting change implementation.

You would also form part of a network across the University, of change practitioners focused on building change capability within the organisation and piloting a new people-centred change management approach to support the wider transformational change agenda. Within this collaborative network, you would be encouraged to bring examples of good practice, contribute your ideas to different change scenarios and also share your knowledge and learning.

We are looking for candidates with experience and interest in understanding the people implications and impacts associated with implementing change within an organisation and collaborating with colleagues across a range of disciplines to develop solutions. Successful candidates will really care about putting people considerations at the centre of organisational change. They will also have capabilities in relationship building, facilitation and coaching.

This role is offered as a secondment opportunity or an initial 12 month contract to support the first of two phases within the CPS Programme where there is an emphasis on scoping and planning transformational change together with some change delivery. The focus for Phase 2 will be on transformational change delivery and it is anticipated that there will be a continued and varied requirement for People & Change expertise to support effective change delivery and ensure changes are embedded to become business as usual.

Due to the current Government Coronavirus lockdown and social distancing measures, the interviews for this role are likely to be conducted remotely using Microsoft Teams or Zoom. It is also expected that relevant work within these roles may be done remotely, within the UK, while these restrictions remain in place.

Please note: If you are not a British or Irish citizen, from 1 January 2021 you will require permission to work in the UK. This will normally be in the form of a visa but, if you are an EEA/Swiss citizen and resident in the UK before 31 December 2020, this may be your passport or status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
