Project Officer - Wirltu Yarlu Academic Mentoring Program (WYAMP) Coordinator

Working under general direction, the Project Officer will oversee the Wirltu Yarlu Academic Mentoring Program (WYAMP) including yearly setup, implementation, establishing a strong mentoring staff, routine administration, student engagement and mandatory reporting. The WYAMP initiative operates under the Commonwealth Government's Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP), with the aim of maximising academic assistance amongst the Wirltu Yarlu student body, ultimately increasing student success. The Project Officer will also scope, develop and support other study resources and supports as required.

To be successful you will need:

• Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the education sector.
• An understanding of the tertiary education sector and knowledge of the student lifecycle and service model.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a program to key performance indicators.
• High competency in Microsoft Outlook suite and related administrative software.
• Experience and knowledge of induction, administration and records management systems, or preparedness to undergo training.
