Associate Director, Global Value and Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), LIVER

In this role, you will implement and manage HEOR strategies and tactics for assets in a therapeutic area, ensuring our products are differentiated and bring value to our patients around the world.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Value and Access Therapeutic Area Lead, Liver this role will:

  • Closely collaborate with Director/HEOR lead to develop and execute global HEOR strategies and programs for Gilead products within the Liver therapy area to inform, support and strengthen commercialization activities including clinical development, marketing and market access
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to develop and support product value proposition to optimize access, reimbursement and uptake throughout the lifecycle of Gilead products
  • Identify global HEOR evidence requirements and gaps; design, conduct and deliver studies, models and tools to support value demonstration and product differentiation for assigned indication(s)
  • Collaborate closely with Market Access Strategy leads to co-develop and implement the Global Value and Access strategy for assigned indication(s) - both in the Global organization and with key markets
  • Develop economic models that can capture long term benefits of disease elimination and potential benefits of treatment and screening
  • Provide HEOR input into clinical development programs
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry regulatory issues and research relationships with HEOR KOLs
  • Disseminate HEOR data and study results


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We're seeking an analytical independent contributor with:
  • 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting, including direct experience in HEOR with a BA/BS degree OR 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting, including direct experience in HEOR with a MA/MS degree
  • Understanding of HEOR assessments and technical expertise in design and execution of HEOR studies and models
  • Understanding of Global healthcare systems and reimbursement processes/decision making with a focus on the US, Europe, Canada, Japan and China
  • Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with evidence of working collaboratively with other functional areas and country representatives
  • Advanced degree related to medical, health economics, health outcomes research, or epidemiology (MS, MBA, MPH, MD/DO, PhD, PharmD) is preferred
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Hepatitis C/liver disease area experience an advantage but not essential
