Research Associate in Medical Statistics

The role

The BRI Hub, part of the Bristol Trials Centre, is seeking a Research Associate (Medical Statistician) to join our thriving multi-disciplinary team of over 60 staff, including 7 statisticians. This hub undertakes studies in cardiac surgery, cardiovascular medicine, obesity surgery, thoracic surgery and ophthalmology.

What will you be doing?

• You will provide statistical support and guidance into the validation, analysis, reporting and publication of data collected for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies
• You will contribute to the design and set up of future studies
• You will provide regular recruitment reports for the research study teams
• You can help guide best practice for statistical analyses of RCTs

You should apply if

• You have a background in statistics or another relevant discipline
• You have knowledge and/or experience of RCTs
• You have experience of applying quantitative methods to clinical and epidemiological data and inform research findings
• You are proficient in statistical software
• You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• You have excellent communication skills.
