The role
The BRI Hub, part of the Bristol Trials Centre, is seeking a Research Associate (Medical Statistician) to join our thriving multi-disciplinary team of over 60 staff, including 7 statisticians. This hub undertakes studies in cardiac surgery, cardiovascular medicine, obesity surgery, thoracic surgery and ophthalmology.

This hub undertakes studies in cardiac surgery, cardiovascular medicine, obesity surgery, thoracic surgery and ophthalmology.
What will you be doing?
- You will provide statistical support and guidance into the validation, analysis, reporting and publication of data collected for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies
- You will contribute to the design and set up of future studies
- You will provide regular recruitment reports for the research study teams
- You can help guide best practice for statistical analyses of RCTs
You should apply if
- You have a background in statistics or another relevant discipline
- You have knowledge and/or experience of RCTs
- You have experience of applying quantitative methods to clinical and epidemiological data and inform research findings
- You are proficient in statistical software
- You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You have excellent communication skills.
