The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) provides support for Academic staff at the University of Southampton. The Centre is located with Southampton's Faculty of Social Sciences but serves the whole University. CHEP was created to provide comprehensive world-leading professional development for all staff and doctoral researchers at all stages of their career development across the life course.

Applications are invited for an administrator to join the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) at the University of Southampton. bThis is an exciting opportunity for an administrator interested in professional development and providing excellent customer service to join our diverse team. The post-holder will provide comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support to the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) and Doctoral College (DC) professional development team and its customers (primarily academic staff and Postgraduate Research Students across the University). They will focus on professional development to support research and enterprise activities of PGR students and staff at all stages of their career, however there will be opportunities to contribute to the wider Academic Practice remit of the Centre. The successful applicant must have skill level equivalent to achievement of NVQ2, GCSE or City and Guilds.

The appointment is 2 years fixed term and is available from June 2021. Funding is currently being sought to make this post permanent.
