The role
You will lead the recruitment of the PEARL study for congenital anomalies. The study will bring together data acquired during pregnancy and afterwards for the next 10 years in all patients diagnosed with congenital anomalies in Bristol. We will then expand the network to the other major UK and Irish congenital centres. The more accurate understanding, prediction, prevention and treatment of these congenital anomalies will lead these children and young adults to have a longer and healthier lives.
What will you be doing?
As the successful candidate you will be working within the BHF Chair of Congenital Heart Surgery team and the foetal Department in St Michael Hospital, and will be responsible for recruiting the participants, perform and supervise collection of clinical and imaging data as well as biological samples. At the same time, you will be expected to develop analytic skills and grant proposal for expanding the study to other UK centres.

You should apply if
- You have a Medical degree and training position in foetal medicine (ST5-6 level).
- Extensive knowledge of congenital heart disease and other congenital anomalies including experience in echo scanning and MRI knowledge.
- Statistical analytic experience is also very desirable.
