The role
The Communications Manager, Digital Transformation Strategy will join the communications team within the External Relations division to provide strategic internal engagement advice to senior managers in IT Services, as well as to senior academics and professional services staff in relation to the University's Digital Transformation Strategy.
What will you be doing?
You will develop, manage and implement innovative and inspiring integrated internal engagement plans, content, campaigns, and listening posts for internal audiences. You will manage content across appropriate channels and platforms to achieve strategic outcomes in relation to the Digital Transformation Strategy.
A key part of the role will be to provide guidance on local internal engagement delivery, content generation, targeting and channel mix for impact. This will involve management of projects, teams and suppliers to achieve maximum delivery and impact of outcomes for key projects and activities. You will need to provide regular evaluation on the impact and effectiveness of internal engagement activity and show leadership in respect of professional standards and best practice.
You should apply if
You have significant proven experience of managing successful communications and marketing projects and integrated campaigns, using a range of channels. You will need to demonstrate experience of using digital communication channels successfully as part of communications campaigns.
You should have experience of working within a complex organisation with multiple clients and people at all levels in the organisation. You should also be a confident presenter, speaker and writer, with good IT, HR and budgetary management skills. Experience of the higher education sector and of internal engagement communications is desirable, though not essential.
