(HEO6) $81,254 to $87,770 per annum plus an employer contribution of up 9.5% superannuation will apply.

The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate's employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

The Diversity Coordinator will work under general direction to coordinate and implement a range of diversity and inclusion initiatives across the Faculty with the aim of; removing barriers that prevent people pursuing STEM education and careers, supporting women in STEM degrees through the Women in STEM Careers (WiSC) program, encouraging and supporting young women interested in STEM, building professional networks across the women in STEM alumni network, supporting and coordinate key Reconciliation Action Plan initiatives and encouraging young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to engage in STEM.

This position will coordinate all aspects of the prospective, current and graduate student programs including stakeholder relationships, events, outreach, communications, measurement, reporting and other general tasks to ensure the Faculty's diversity programs are delivered successfully and in line with Faculty and University strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, driven individual, with exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to influence, and capable of building and maintaining successful relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. They will have experience in coordinating a range initiatives, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of activity.

To be successful you will need:
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder with the ability to effectively build key business relationships and achieve mutual benefit for all parties.
  • Experience in managing high pressure conditions and multiple projects, implementing plans to achieve defined outcomes, and solving problems in an innovative and creative manner.
  • Proven negotiation skills and in particular demonstrated ability to effectively manage and resolve sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in high level written and verbal communication, across a diverse area in a sensitive, professional and responsive manner in delivering client centric results.
  • Experience in developing, coordinating and reviewing large scale programs, initiatives and events with a high level of autonomy which support the delivery of marketing, engagement and recruitment plans ensuring strong attention to detail.
