The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's Research Triangle region will be home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. ERP Operations
  • Responsible for Global ERP/ SAP operations and project and enhancement delivery in a complex IT ERP Ecosystem
  • Drive Business Process stability and cycle time improvements through rigorous adherence to SLA's ensuring ERP performance metrics are aligned with business perceptions & expectations
  • Drive Application Management Service delivery improvements
  • Work cross-functionally and globally in a fast-paced, GxP and FDA regulated IT system environment
  • Interact with corporate quality and compliance teams to ensure all system support follows internal SOPs and compliance with GxP/FDA regulations
  • Continually scan the environment in a proactive manner to gain perspective on industry trends, Industry best in class KPI's, leading practices and technology offerings to be equipped to bring to the attention of business engagement and business stakeholders.
  • Have a strategic mindset with the capability of establishing a comprehensive yet pragmatic vision based on a strong base of analysis
  • Strong understanding of Business KPI's and Insight required to manage the IT support landscape.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively articulate Operations support vision coupled with influencing and leadership skills in order to lead people to achieve it
  • Develop deep and broad business capability and domain knowledge to enable effective business analysis and requirements planning and enhance IT's business acumen
  • Ensure effective consultation with the various business partners (internal & external) in exploring and applying innovative outside-in solution ideas to address business opportunities and challenges


Partnering
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders that include Business Function Leaders, Global Business Process Owners, Business Engagement BA's, Business Engagement Domain Architects, ERP Solution Architects, Validation and Corporate Quality and IT build and run resources (internal and external)
  • Develop and maintain effective, trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders - including senior leaders - in order to provide credible insight and advice about leveraging a business support model with applicable SLA's to enhance business effectiveness and continuity
  • Interact effectively with delivery teams to ensure post go-live support period hand-offs are efficient and effective


Basic Qualifications:
High School Degree and Fourteen Year's Experience OR Associates Degree and Twelve Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience OR Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands on work experience in Operations Lead role supporting a complex ERP Ecosystem within the Biotech / Pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience related to Tier 1 ERP's preferably SAP
  • Experience working with a range of geographic regions to support business needs
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and evaluate solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to business partners in a meaningful way
  • Ability to oversee projects, manage resources and influence outcomes beyond line management structures
  • Strong analytical, communication, time-management, facilitation, presentation, influencing and project/portfolio management skills
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive cost/benefit, fit-gap and pro/con analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in building effective trusted advisor relationships with business partners and IT colleagues using negotiation, mediation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated discipline, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Independent, self-motivated, self-managing, proactive and responsive with a bias for action and results
  • High level of personal integrity consistent with Gilead's core values
  • Resilient with the ability to perform in an ambiguous environment and under pressure
  • Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives
