The Department of Biomedicine (DBM) combines the biomedical translational research of the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel and the University Hospital of Basel (USB). Over 800 employees in over 60 research groups at 5 locations in Basel investigate the molecular basis of diseases with the aim of developing new, innovative treatment approaches for unresolved medical problems. The DBM promotes integrated research within the four biomedical focal areas immunology, oncology, stem cell biology & regenerative medicine, and neurobiology, providing a stimulating environment for cutting edge biomedical research. Quality assurance team member / Operator (level of employment: 100%)

Your position

  • Hands-on manufacturing of tissue-engineered products in a clean room environment
  • Support of DBM research user groups in the validation of analytical test methods (practically developed by the users) and process steps for different manufacturing processes according to GMP
  • Qualification/maintenance of equipment and the GMP facility installations and utilities
  • Support of the core facility team for the lab management
  • Support of the core facility team for GMP-compliant documentation

Your profile

• Experience in cell culture and working in clean rooms
• Experience in the manufacturing of ATMPs according to GMP
• Experience in the design of validation of analytical test methods according to GMP
  • Knowledge in the qualification of equipment/clean rooms
  • Excellent knowledge of English (German an asset)
  • Preferably a University degree (Master or higher)
  • High reliability and responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
