Are you a pro-active and influential academic with a passion and commitment for digital transformation?

Do you have the skills and experience to oversee the delivery of a range of digital transformation initiatives in education and research at the University of Leeds?

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for the academic leadership of a wide range of digital transformation initiatives, working collaboratively and in partnership with senior academics in the Faculties and Schools, senior Professional Services colleagues, external partners and colleagues across the university.

You will be responsible for driving forward the delivery of the University's new Digital Transformation strategy, with a particular focus on leading change programmes and projects in digital education, digital research and digital operations areas.

You will have academic responsibility for development of relevant business cases, securing academic buy-in to change initiatives, and leading delivery of initiatives through project activity into business as usual and embedding of activity. You will work closely with project teams, teams in professional services and academic Faculties and Schools to lead and support digital transformation initiatives.

You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the potential to harness and use digital technologies, data and digital approaches to enhance student education and research, with experience of successfully leading the delivery of large, complex projects in an academic environment. You will understand, and be able to manage, the potential pitfalls of using digital technology, and you will ensure equitable access for all. You will have excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve goals. You will have the ability to support project management activities and work within established processes. You will have experience of influencing and negotiating with colleagues in challenging situations.
