We are looking for an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to work on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across the programme within a team committed to providing a high standard of training in clinical psychology.

Leeds has a longstanding and highly regarded clinical psychology training programme. We are a friendly and supportive team, with excellent links with clinical psychology and expert by experience colleagues in West Yorkshire, and academic colleagues in the Institute for Health Sciences.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in clinical psychology training has been set as a national priority by Health Education England (HEE), who are funding this one-year fixed term post.

The clinical psychology training programme is committed to this and is supported by our host Division and School, the only Medical School in the UK to hold a Gold Athena SWAN award for Gender Equality.

The post holder will have a remit to build on what the programme has already started in this area, and establishing sustainable changes to be incorporated into the programme in the future. They will coordinate existing and new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strands on the training programme, including mentoring, curriculum review, community outreach, support for trainees and selection. They will also have a role in broader consultation with local stakeholders. The post holder will also be expected to link in with other initiatives at the University of Leeds, and with other clinical psychology training programmes regionally and nationally.

We welcome and encourage applications from all clinical psychologists. For this role, we would particularly welcome applications from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic community, as this group is underrepresented in the Profession. We will select the best candidate solely on the basis of merit and ability to do the job.
