The research section of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at the University Psychiatric Clinic in Basel ( https://stadler.medizin.unibas.ch/ ) is looking for several research assistants. Their main role will be to provide support on data collection and analysis of different behavioural functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiments. The different available projects investigate the shared and unique neural underpinnings of the emotion processing deficits in patients with CD compared to ASD ( https://stadler.medizin.unibas.ch/en/projects/cd-asd/ ), neural networks analysis on adolescents conduct disorder or the developmental aspects of decision-making processes in social contexts (for more information see https://stadler.medizin.unibas.ch/en/projects/cd-asd/ , https://stadler.medizin.unibas.ch/en/team/dr-ana-cubillo-1 / ).

Your position

  • Data quality assurance
  • Organize and analyze behavioural and brain imaging data using Matlab, Python, and/or R


Your profile

  • Good marks in bachelor's or master's level neuroscience, psychology, neuroinformatics or computational modeling courses
  • Knowledge of brain imaging data processing
  • Experience with programming in R, Python, Matlab, or other data science languages
  • Strong interest in scientific research, especially in brain imaging methods, neuroeconomics, cognitive neuroscience and/or decision-making processes
  • Very good oral and written English skills
  • Ability to work responsibly and independently
  • Strong social skills
  • Interest in working in an interdisciplinary team, preferably for 12 months
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with previous experience analyzing neuroimaging data
