The UTS Information Technology Division is recruiting for a Database Administrator, to implement and enforce security for all of the Oracle Databases

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Technical Team Lead, the Database Administrator will be part of UTS ITD Enterprise Applications Support Team within IT Operations.

If successful in applying for this role, you will:

• Provide maintenance support for Database Systems (Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.).
• Working knowledge on the migration and support of Oracle/SQL databases to cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Implements and enforces security for all of the Databases.
• Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
• Capacity Planning Performance and Monitoring and automate to reduce manual work.
• Plans and implements backup and recovery of the database environment, including Disaster Recovery Exercises.
• Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime
• Experience with administration of Oracle E-Business Suite as an App DBA, such as cloning, upgrades, patching etc.
• Provide technical support to application development/support teams.
• Troubleshoots the problems regarding the databases, applications, and development tools.
• Manage operational processes, complex technical incidents or problems promptly according to SLA.

• Solid DBA background across both Oracle (11g,12c,19c)and SQL databases
• Working knowledge of cloud Azure / Amazon Web Services especially amazon RDS
• Strong troubleshooting experience with databases
• Experience working with sensitive information in security-conscious environment
• Experience in Migration of databases to cloud DB technologies
