Research Assistant/Technician - Molecular Cell Biology

The Department Biomedicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the Cell Adhesion Lab . Our research is focused on cell-cell adhesion contacts and their importance as therapeutic target for various pathological conditions.

Your position
  • Culture of murine and human cell lines
  • Vector cloning and mutagenesis
  • Modification of cells via lentivirus
  • Other standard molecular and biochemical techniques (PCR, Western blot, immunostaining)
  • Involvement in lab management and organization


Your profile
  • Apprenticeship as molecular biology research technician (Biologielaborant/in or equivalent education) or Bachelor's/Master's Degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology or related field
  • Enthusiasm to establish and optimize new protocols and techniques
  • Excellent aseptic cell culture technique
  • Expertise in standard molecular and biochemical techniques
  • Independence in the planning, execution, analysis and troubleshooting of standard molecular biology experiments
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and skilled with computers
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
