£17,682 to £18,709 pro rata, subject to experience - 35 hours per week - permanent position working a rotating shift system which includes working evenings and weekends up to 11pm.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual wishing to become a Facilities Assistant with The University of Southampton Students' Union. The role is based at the Students' Union on the Highfield Campus, University of Southampton.

The Role

In this role you will be part of the Facilities team looking after the security of our Union premises, be involved in front of house activities such as setting up meeting rooms for bookings and events, this will involve undertaking heavy physical work by set deadlines. You will provide guidance to our support staff receptionists and deal with any queries that come up ensuring that you and the Students' Union deliver the highest standards of service to our members. The role will require you to undertake training to deal with situations that may arise across our premises, which will include first aid and fire warden training and be proficient to carry out hands-on duties including painting and basic DIY-type jobs.

You will have great interpersonal skills and understand the importance of excellent customer service while possessing the determination to present the premises at their best at all times.
