The Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research (LICTR) is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Developer to lead a small team of programmers providing innovative and robust computer applications to support complex research

Using .NET and associated technologies you will be the lead developer delivering and supporting services underpinning a range of business-critical activities. You will lead the development of new and existing key core services used by a range of stakeholders, working closely Trial and Data Management teams to ensure systems are fit for purpose, and meet strategic and user requirements. You will set and maintain development best practices; drive change, refactor technical debt, mentor other developers and shape the future of development within the LICTR.

You will utilise .NET skills, knowledge and experience gained through working in a platform development role to design, develop and maintain applications, integrations, and automation across a range of systems. You will work pro-actively, aligned to the development lifecycle ensuring effective communication and consultation with stakeholders and customers in designing and implementing fit-for-purpose solutions.

Working in a complex environment, your work as a Lead Developer will involve documenting your work in line with standard operating procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practice, IT standards, and regulatory compliance. As an experienced member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting, training, coaching and mentoring developers. You will be comfortable with ensuring alignment to the best approach to a problem and presenting this back to your peers and wider stakeholders, you will own the standards for the wider team.
