Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge?
Do you want to work in partnership with a leading UK chemical manufacturer?
Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?
As part of a strategic collaboration between the University of Leeds, University of Warwick and Infineum UK Ltd , an ESPRC-IAA project has been established to conduct high-resolution molecular characterisation of organic species in very low sulfur fuel oils. The project is entirely experimental and you will work closely with the project partners to comprehensively characterise the chemical properties of the organic species. The study will further our understanding of the governing structure-performance relationships and guide new thinking to design appropriate dispersant molecules.
Holding a PhD in (or close to completion) in a science or engineering aligned discipline, you will have a background in experimental research.
To explore the post further or for any queries you may have, please contact:
Associate Professor David Harbottle
Tel: +44 (0)113 343 4154 or email: D.Harbottle@leeds.ac.uk
Please note: If you are not a British or Irish citizen, from 1 January 2021 you will require permission to work in the UK. This will normally be in the form of a visa but, if you are an EEA/Swiss citizen and resident in the UK before 31 December 2020, this may be your passport or status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
