Are you a dedicated researcher and teacher looking for your next challenge?
Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research-intensive Universities?
This unique and varied role will enable you to make a major contribution both to a research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and to undergraduate lecturing and teaching in a flourishing School of English.
As a researcher on the AHRC project 'Experiments in Land and Society, 1793-1833' you will collaborate with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Jeremy Davies, on work that aims to deepen understandings of the relationship between literature and environmental change in Romantic-period Britain.
You will also make an important contribution to teaching in the School, designing and delivering lectures and seminars on a range of modules. You may be asked to convene a specialist level 3 module on 'Romantic Lyric Poetry'; to contribute to the level 2 core modules 'Restoration and Eighteenth-Century Writing' and 'Literature of the Romantic Period'; to supervise undergraduate research projects; and to take responsibility for academic personal tutees. You will join an intellectual community whose diverse interests span the full range of the discipline from medieval and early modern literature to the medical, digital, and environmental humanities.
