We have two senior roles available within the Finance, Planning & Analytics directorate aimed at ensuring long term financial stability for the faculty and its teaching, research and enterprise activities. As a trusted finance business partner, you will help drive income generation while maintaining tight cost control through the delivery and monitoring of financial plans, budgets and forecasts. You will be comfortable instigating and leading business change opportunities in both the short and medium term, ensuring alignment with the University's strategic goals. Both roles will join the senior management team of Finance, Planning & Analytics and share responsibility for managing over 200 staff based across five campuses of the University.

The Head of Faculty Finance for Professional Services is a pivotal role which provides effective business partnering and financial leadership to the University's Chief Operating Officer and non-academic support functions including IT, Estates, Legal, Finance, Research and HR directorates. The Head of Faculty Finance for Medicine provides financial leadership for a complex, research-intensive faculty serving multiple external stakeholders and based across several sites. Applicants will have the opportunity to express a preference during the interview process.

Prospective candidates should be technically strong, qualified accountants who are able to take a strategic view whilst ensuring efficient day to day operations are delivered. You will have significant experience leading financial planning, management accounting and business case development at a senior level within a commercial or educational establishment. Your extensive track record will include a proven ability to drive change through systems, process and people within a large and complex organisation. Both roles support a broad and varied customer base, so your capacity to shape and build high performing teams and engage and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation is critical. A solid understanding of the Higher Education funding landscape would be beneficial.
