The University of Southampton has an ambitious portfolio of change, designed to help deliver the goals and objectives outlined in our University Strategy.

The University Change Portfolio Office reports into the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for supporting the delivery of the University's strategy, through the management of the Strategic Major Projects portfolio and its constituent programmes and projects.

The Future Ways of Working Programme is a complex programme which will deliver multiple workstreams to address the University's fresh approach to hybrid working and the associated operating model and space implications. It will enable the University to transform the way that colleagues work and interact, building on what has been learned through the changes imposed by Covid-19. This is a huge opportunity to reinvent working practices and deliver outcomes that will demonstrably contribute to: staff wellbeing and satisfaction; equality, diversity and inclusivity; sustainability (both environmental and financial); and, our overall operating model. A programme team is being established to deliver this change.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced full-time Programme Administrator. You will support the Future Ways of working Programme Manager and the rest of the project team with project administrative support including coordinating and diarising meetings, servicing meetings, general communications, and maintaining programme management documents.

You will have good communication, record keeping, planning, organisational interpersonal and customer service skills and must be able to demonstrate that you can work accurately and within relevant policies and procedures. You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively and manage your own workload.

You will have a skill level (including experience and other qualifications) equivalent to HNC, A-level, NVQ level 3, good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office and related software.

If you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact Laura Howells, Head of University Change Portfolio Office via email L.E.Howells@soton.ac.uk
