  • Experience overseeing all aspects of protein reagent design, expression, purification, and characterization in a drug discovery setting. This includes:
    • Experience in expression of recombinant proteins using a variety of expression systems (bacteria, SF9, Expi293, CHO).
    • Expert in basic molecular biology methods and construct design to tailor protein for intended use(s).
    • A strong background in AKTA/NGS purification systems, and a variety of chromatographic techniques, including IEX, HIC, SEC, and Affinity,
    • Proficiency in the use of analytical and biophysical methods (HPLC, DLS, DSF, etc.) to assess protein stability, solubility, and form.
    • Experience providing high-quality protein reagents for various downstream efforts ranging from mechanistic studies, to traditional HTS assays, DEL and ASMS screens, biophysical assays, and structure-based efforts (X-Ray, Cryo-EM, NMR).
    • Experience working with challenging proteins, multi-protein complexes, soluble, and membrane proteins.
    • Experience using specialized purification strategies such as HIC and protein refolding.
    • Familiarity with display workflows (phage, yeast, or mammalian) to apply protein evolution methods where appropriate.
  • Proven ability to lead, energize and develop a high-performing team of scientists.
  • Demonstrated examples of strong scientific leadership, independent thought and creativity, and ability to integrally contribute to program strategies and execute plans.
