The Operations Team Leader will provide broad oversight and management of the operational functions of the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) unit. The Operations Team Leader will undertake the development, management and evaluation of broader PACE project initiatives in the role of project manager on specific systems or program based projects.

Working under limited direction, the Operations Team Leader will provide overall leadership and management of the broader operations team and high-level oversight of PACE projects and systems. The Operations Team Leader will apply essential knowledge of current project management practices and principles, along with a good understanding of the education and training sector. The position will be required to enable effective engagement with staff (leadership and line management) and stakeholders (internal and external, including business development), as well as the preparation of complex project documentation, including development of budgets, financial reporting (in conjunction with the General Manager - PACE), processes and procedures, system analytics, and recommendations related to future state requirements.

To be successful you will need:
  • Sound knowledge of project management principles and practices, budgetary frameworks and financial reporting.
  • A demonstrated ability to work strategically and manage programs, events or complex projects in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-level management and administrative roles, including process improvement.
  • Experience in analysing market trends and developing key stakeholder relationships and new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the education and training sectors.
