What You Will Achieve

We are looking for an entry level Associate Scientist to support the Early Clinical Development (ECD) biomarker teams in a matrix environment.

You will provide biomarker bioanalytical support for flow cytometry lab biomarker assets. You will demonstrate your growing knowledge of bioanalytical methodologies related to flow cytometry platforms, sample processing techniques, and data interpretation. You will provide laboratory support for clinical biomarker assay and method development, assay validation and clinical study support.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Responsible for supporting the flow cytometry biomarker group translational and clinical study efforts, assay and method development, assay validation, and study execution.
  • Participate in all phases of ECD regulatory laboratory operations including safety, technology evaluations, the development of sample preparation methods, data analysis, interpretation and reporting.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance appropriate for clinical and translational study execution including ECD SOPs, on the job and training transcripts. This includes knowledge, training and understanding of GLP/GCP guidance for execution of translational and clinical studies supporting Pfizer assets as applicable.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of scientific and regulatory processes.
  • Interface between cross-functional partners and bioanalytical teams.
  • Support a dynamic portfolio and deal with changing priorities.



Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant scientific field including immunology, cell biology, biology, or similar.
  • 2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, think critically, prioritize tasks, have good organization skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.


Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry
  • Experience working in a GLP environment.
  • Industry experience


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear standard PPE (lab coat/safety shoes/glasses/etc).


NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Occasional weekend work is required
