Des Moines University (DMU) seeks to fill a vacancy in the Department of Public Health. The position is for a full-time faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Tenure track is optional. The candidate will teach fully online graduate courses in the Healthcare Administration and Public Health programs, conduct research, and participate in service and governance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional teaching and student mentoring, an innovative and funded or fundable program of research, and a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Des Moines University. Faculty candidates with expertise in health care administration and health delivery and financing, organizational development, health care informatics, marketing, strategy, or process improvement are especially encouraged to apply. Qualifications: * Faculty should hold the appropriate terminal degree, PhD, health administration or closely related discipline relevant to the department's academic curricula. * Must be familiar with innovative teaching methodologies and effective student evaluation methods. * Must have demonstrated accomplishments in research and scholarly activity, preferably in public health. * Must be a member in good standing in appropriate professional organizations. * Knowledge of Commission on Accreditation for Health Management Education (CAHME) accreditation criteria is desired.
