Primary Purpose:
Faculty for the department of Physician Assistant Studies main role is to deliver curriculum content for the MPAS program. In addition, this position will participate in operations of the program as required by the accrediting body (ARC-PA). This is a full-time position with salary and competitive benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications

Essential Job Functions:
Teaching: Develop curricular content for the MPAS based on competency-based medical model, adhering to accreditation standards (ARC-PA), and aligned with program mission and goalsDeliver curricular content within the PA program, including, but not limited to: Serving as course director Serving as lecturer, and/or small group facilitatorServe as student advisor to PA studentsDevelop, implement, and score competency-based assessments Service: Serve on PA program committees including, but not limited to:AdmissionsCurriculumStudent Assessment and PromotionsProgram EvaluationServe on institutional committees as appointed by the PA Program DirectorParticipate in activities of state, regional, and national organizations to promote a positive image of the PA concept within academic, lay, and professional communitiesAdministration: Administrative duties as assigned and related to committee work within the PA program or institution; or duties specific to role within the PA programScholarship: As a developing program, with an innovative curriculum, there will be opportunities to participate in scholarly work in collaboration with PA Program team members. Perform other duties as assigned and supporting the mission of the program and the university

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Text Only):
- Current expertise in one or more curriculum content areas of the MPAS degree.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage competing deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Minimum Qualifications:
Terminal degree for profession, and related to position (e.g. Master degree for PA, MD/DO for physician; PhD for scientist), or equivalent experience.Current license (or eligibility) to practice in Colorado, if a clinician.

Preferred Qualifications:
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Previous experience in higher education.Experience delivering curriculum content to PA students (clinical or didactic).Experience using a variety of academic learning systems (Canvas, BlackBoard)Clinical experience of 3-5 years.Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.
