The role

We are recruiting for a Marketing & Communications Project Officer to join our dynamic, ambitious, and fast-growing Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO). As a team we are all motivated by the impact of our work and our shared vision to ' embed a culture of engagement and philanthropy at the heart of the University, with alumni and friends working seamlessly with University staff and students to transform lives'

This is an existent role, bringing an opportunity to assist in the development and implementation of the Marketing and Communications plan. You will help to manage a wide range of exciting projects ranging from Regular Giving appeals, bespoke collateral and materials for Major Gifts, stewardship and volunteer engagement communications and other DARO campaigns.

What will you be doing?

With experience of working in a MarComms or related role, you will deliver production processes for marketing and communications, alongside planning and reporting on individual projects. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement processes and systems to ensure effective project management of DARO campaigns and initiatives and deal with capacity and project management issues as appropriate. You will also assist in the management of a range of external suppliers and coordinate contracts and budget processes.

You will be organised, with a commitment to excellence, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written, visual and digital. You will have the ability to build dialogue and trust with colleagues in DARO and the wider University. Working independently, your excellent planning skills will enable you to navigate a large, complex institution and work under pressure to meet varying deadlines. You will have a strong belief in the importance of universities and their role in society and will build productive working partnerships across the University.
