Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge?
Do you have a passion to educate the next generation of undergraduate and post graduate Conservation Ecologists?
Do you have an established background in Global Conservation Ecologists?
Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading Universities in research and teaching excellence?
We are looking to expand our core expertise in global conservation by recruiting an academic specialising in one or more of the following areas: conservation ecology, global change biology, population/ community ecology, quantitative ecology, or a related area, with existing links with conservation management organisations or a plan for developing such relationships. We are particularly interested to hear from animal ecologists.
You will continue to build on your existing international networks and research focus, as well as fostering new local, national, and international networks in academia and conservation. Working across the boundary between fundamental and applied research, you will strive for science that makes a real-world difference. You should have a PhD in conservation ecology or a related discipline with a track record of research outputs in refereed publications of internationally excellent quality.
The University of Leeds and the Faculty of Biological Sciences are committed to providing equal opportunities for all and offer a range of family friendly policies. The University is a charter member of Athena SWAN (the national body that promotes gender equality in higher education), and the Faculty of Biological Sciences was awarded a Silver award in 2019. We are proud to be an inclusive Faculty that values all staff, and are happy to consider job share applications and requests for flexible working arrangements from our employees. Our Athena SWAN webpage provides more information.
