Posting Details Position Title Adjunct Instructor, EMS (Continuing Education Division) (Continuous Posting) Employment Category Adjunct Contract Length N/A Expected Work Schedule Variable Anticipated Days Any day of the week, may be asked for some Saturday and/or Sunday work Anticipated Hours Predominantly evenings, but also may include daytime hours Anticipated Hours per Week variable Job Description Summary Assist with teaching in the Continuing Education EMS program. Courses may include the EMT Basic and Intermediate classes, Medical Responder class, and a number of other trauma and/or medical continuing education classes. Duties Duties will include the set up and break down of classrooms, proper use of equipment, current knowledge of EMS standards. Also will need to know how to manage college paperwork and schedules. Classes may be located on campus or out in the community. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 3 years EMS field experience. Currently certified as an NC EMT Basic or above. A willingness to obtain the NC EMS Level 1 or 2 teaching certification. Comfortable in a college level environment working with a wide range of people and experiences. Preferred Qualifications Level 1 or 2 NC EMS Instructor. Experience as an instructor thru EMS, AHA, or ARC. Associates Degree or higher. Special Instructions to Applicants 1.
