Labratory Quality Manager

The Laboratory Quality Manager reports to Sr. Supplier Quality Director and works across the JUUL organization to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the routine activities of the quality laboratory to help define and execute the highest levels of technical and process excellence, meet all quality requirements for new products, and assure sustaining quality and regulatory compliance of existing products. This role will be based in Durham, North Carolina.

Responsible for managing and implementing ISO17025 Quality Systems and standards
Interpret applicable quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, cGMP, USP, and MHRA) and develop policies to implement these requirements for the laboratory operation
Ensure compliance with testing SOPs and specifications. Monitor the testing techniques and accuracy of all records and documentation that is done in the lab
Work closely with manufacturing and product development teams and participate in pro-active functions that impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, improve quality, and support new product introduction

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of laboratory quality management experience, prefer nicotine related products
Experience in an ISO 17025 Quality Systems or GMP regulated environments
Ability to leverage a diverse set of people, opinions and backgrounds to produce excellent results
Will listen, learn, and prove or disprove assumptions with data
Be an excellent collaborator across teams, functions, organizational boundaries inside and outside of JUUL
Assertive style that drives excellence in quality management

EDUCATION:

B.S. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.
