FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer to teach a wide variety of courses in the Education program, including evening and weekend assignments for the 2021-2022 academic year.
In addition to teaching, the candidate is expected to perform student advisement, and serve on departmental, college and university committees.
Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5 or more years of experience working in NYC DOE schools in an instructional capacity.
* Experience supervising pre-service teachers in fieldwork settings in NYC DOE schools.
* Certification as a Special Educator with the DOE
* MA. In an education-related field.
* Experience working with community college students in non-classroom settings such as clubs and career fairs.
* Experience working with administrators and staff in DOE schools, particularly in Brooklyn as a representative of the College.
* Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of courses in the Education program including evening and weekend assignments.
COMPENSATION
$47,598 - $86,050. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
