Job Description:

PT Clinical Instructor, Nurse Education Program (Fundamentals of Nursing)

Division of Health Professions and Human Services

Campus Location: Clinical agency

Work Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays: 6:30am -11:30am or 7:00am-12:00pm

Non-benefited, MCCC position

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience
* Instruct and Supervise nursing students in the clinical setting
* Instruct and Supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes
* Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback
* Complete formative and summative student evaluations
* Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues
* Perform other duties associated with the position.

Requirements:

* MA Registered nurse license in good standing.
* Minimum of 2 years full time nursing employment in the last 5 years.
* Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning is required; an earned Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
* Possesses a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years
* Evidence of competence in clinical area of Fundamentals & Medical Surgical Nursing
* BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA required.
* Previous clinical teaching experience is preferred
* Experience with the use of patient simulation and technology preferred
* Candidate must clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
* Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
* Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.

Additional Information:

SALARY: $60 per hour, non-benefited, MCCC position.

STARTING DATE: September 7, 2021, Must be available for orientation in late August
