Our three brands, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, and Tidewater Tech are all dedicated to helping adult students reach their career goals through education and training.

We are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to direct and staff our campuses and TRAIN TOMORROW'S TECHNICIANS. We currently have an opening for a Construction Electrician Instructor to work at our Norfolk, VA campus.



Responsibilities Include:
  • Teach classes on a regularly scheduled basis as assigned
  • Assist program coordinator in developing curriculum, preparing course materials, and maintaining equipment
  • Establish and maintain academic and attendance records
  • Submit attendance, grades, student evaluations, and all required reports per established procedures
  • Complete performance based teacher education modules as needed
  • Attend in-service training seminars as required



Education/Experience/Skills
  • Must have at least three years field experience in the construction electrician industry
  • Must Maintain National Electrician Tradesman certification
  • Must possess excellent computer skills
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • NCCER Instructor Certified preferred
  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification (within three months of hire date)
  • CPR certification current or (within three months of hire date)
