General Responsibilities

Adjunct Auxiliary Machinery Instructor- The successful candidate will have theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on ability in various shipboard engineering systems. The instructor will teach cadets in the assembly, disassembly of pumps, compressors, and power systems, and demonstrate knowledge, understanding & proficiency to perform required STCW USCG assessments. The successful candidate will teach courses in shipboard Auxiliary Machinery.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in the subject matter
* Minimum of three years of teaching experience or professional experience in relevant discipline(s)
* Have held an unlimited Second Assistant Engineer license or greater, or currently possess a current Third Assistant Engineer's license, and
* Demonstrated work history, teaching and practical experience in the subject concentration
