The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Compliance Engineer to join the Knolls Laboratory Safety and Health team!
The Safety Organization performs independent overviews and assessments and provides technical expertise to ensure that Laboratory work is conducted safely, efficiently and in compliance with applicable requirements. The functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
Anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices
Collaborate with engineering and production organizations and provide subject matter expertise on the implementation of hazard controls and hazard control programs
Conduct inspections of site facilities and provide oversight of laboratory operations, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, building construction, renovation, and demolition
Measure, audit, and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard controls and hazard control programs to ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements
Identify and develop process improvements to ensure safe and efficient site operations, and involve personnel at all levels in developing the safety culture
