Job Summary:
Adjunct faculty teach courses in Dental Hygiene including planning, preparation, and delivery of lecture/lab instruction materials at all levels of training. New adjunct faculty will initially be assigned to preclinical and/or clinical courses. Faculty members also participate in curriculum development and student advising.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from a D.H. program accredited by CODA, OR a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene from a D.H. program accredited by CODA.
Documented background in current educational methodology concepts and/or continuing education credits consistent with dental hygiene course work.
Clinical practice work experience equivalent to 2,040 hours.
Current Registered Dental Hygiene (RDH) License, with Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Certifications for the State of Michigan must be submitted prior to issuance of final offer of employment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers with AED training must be submitted prior to issuance of final offer of employment.
