Are you an academic with proven abilities to deliver teaching and research in Digital Innovation Design?
Are you passionate about providing an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?
Can you apply your expertise to support and complement the School's existing strengths?
You will deliver world-class teaching and research in the area of Digital Graphic and Communication Design, supporting the continuing development of the School of Design as a sector-leading centre with innovation at its core. This is a design/creative-driven role and you will have experience and knowledge of how to develop innovative design practice and research utilising a range of digital media, software, techniques, and experience of how creative digital and design solutions can be applied to both commercial and non-commercial settings. This position will focus on developing a strong network of engagement with the regional digital graphic and communication sector and related cultural institutions.
You will have a PhD in Digital Graphic and Communication Design (or related areas) and have a developing record of research in this area, commensurate with the level of the post and a clear indication of the ability to achieve internationally recognised standards of excellence. You will be a committed teacher and an outstanding communicator able to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate taught study in the areas of digital and interactive design, creative, graphic, and communication design, as well as teaching and administrative activities in general.
