The role
The School of Economics at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a part time Research Administrator. This busy role will provide effective administrative support to the School of Economics' academics, the Research Manager and the Research Director. The postholder will act as the first point of contact for enquiries, and as a liaison point for all relevant internal and external contacts.
What will you be doing?
The post holder will work very closely with the Research Manager and will be actively involved in preparing documents, supporting meetings, internal and external communications, processing financial transactions and supporting research-focussed activity contributing to further success for the School.
You should apply if
The successful candidate will be expected to work with accuracy and have experience in managing several tasks at any one time. They should have a strong background in administration, including systems and process and will have the opportunity to suggest and implement improvements to how tasks are delivered. They should be comfortable with coordinating activity, including tracking finances and developing internal and external contacts and relationships. There will be the chance to develop a strong knowledge of the Universities research agenda.
