The role
We are looking for an experienced marketing and communications professional to help the award-winning sustainability team promote sustainability across all aspects of what the University does, from education and research to civic engagement as well as management of its physical campuses.
What will you be doing?
You will undertake two main activities using your marketing and communications skills to help,
The development of behavior change initiatives, with the sustainability team, students and wider stakeholders. This will be across areas such as carbon, transport, recycling and wider circular economy activities.
This will involve market research, analysis of research findings, planning and delivery of initiatives based on this research, as well as stake holder mapping, engagement, and reviewing the impact of these activities. All working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
The other main activity will be the promotion of the work and its results from the sustainability team and stakeholders.
This will involve creating promotional information and reports in a variety of print and on-line media, creating networks to promote sustainability through. You will also help the sustainability team organize wider training on sustainability initiatives.
You should apply if
You have a passion for sustainability and would like to apply your marketing and communication skills and experience to addressing what is possibly the biggest challenge the University and society faces - that is the climate emergency and ecological crisis.
This is an opportunity to work with a wide variety of staff and students on projects that will deliver real change.
We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
