Committed to Advancing Excellence and Equity in Education, the Graduate School of Education (GSE) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick seeks an outstanding scholar to join the school and to help advance our three thematic strategic plan priority areas of diversity, equity, and social justice, STEM in education, and effective teaching and learning. Accordingly, we seek a tenure-track faculty colleague whose research expertise is in quantitative methods with efforts to advance issues of diversity, access, and social justice in education and society. The scholar filling this position will conduct a research and publication agenda that advances Rutgers Graduate School of Education's pursuit of Advancing Excellence and Equity in Education; demonstrate scholarly productivity by publishing in peer-reviewed journals, securing external research support, and presenting at national and international scholarly conferences; contribute to the success of programs across the GSE; participate in program development and innovation; and develop and teach quantitative methods courses. We are specifically looking for scholars interested in assessment, evaluation, educational measurement, and statistics, including quantitative modeling and/or statistical theory in the social and behavioral sciences, psychometrics, and/or multilevel analysis. The scholar filling this position will advise students including doctoral students; participate actively in local, state, and national professional organizations; and contribute to the service missions of the Graduate School of Education and the university. Applicants are required to have earned a doctoral degree from an accredited major research university with a specialization in educational measurement, evaluation, or statistical methods and a demonstrated record of scholarly excellence and accomplishments that merits appointment at the rank of Associate/Full Professor with tenure. In screening applicants, we will be looking for evidence of demonstrated commitment to addressing diversity, equity, and social justice issues in preK-20 education; scholarly accomplishments aligned with securing competitive external research funding; commitment to a strong, productive, and externally funded research program; and evidence of effective teaching at the university level. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Subject to the availability of funding, the position will begin September, 2020.
