Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive

The Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive, is responsible for all nursing practice and quality standards system wide to include Summa Health System, SummaCare, Summa Health Medical Group (SHMG), Call Center and Ambulatory Care and other Ancillary Services. Establishes vision, direction, strategy, and culture which optimally supports attainment of Summa Health's mission.
In this role the incumbent directs the operations to effectively achieve the vision and strategic, financial, and operational plans that have been developed. Leads the development of systems and processes that create a culture that delivers optimal service quality and patient and family centered health and wellness care resulting in an excellent patient experience through a highly engaged workforce. Advances efficiency while promoting quality and safety. Develops a strategic approach to systems, processes and tools that improve staff efficiency, performance and retention. Identifies and develops an infrastructure and allocates resources to support operations as appropriate while ensuring long-term organizational success.

Minimum
Qualifications

Formal Education Required
Master's degree required in Nursing or Business/Health Administration
Bachelor's degree (if not in Nursing, then Master's degree must be in Nursing)
ANCC certification in Nursing executive preferred
Leadership experience in an integrated health care delivery system and provider owned HMO preferred; progress towards a specialty certification required
Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Ohio or the ability to obtain one
Experience & Training Required
Ten (10) years progressive nursing administration experience
Administrative experience must include current tertiary acute care hospital-based nursing services with broad scope of responsibility for clinical and fiscal management of general and specialty patient care units
