Job Summary

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department seeks to fill Ninja Warrior Instructor positions for the Recreation Division.

Job Responsibilities

100.00% - The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is looking for active and engaged team members who can teach the skills of ninja warrior and parkour; instruct children through our ninja warrior curriculum as well as improving their strength, flexibility and balance. Previous experience working with children ages 4-14 in a fitness environment is preferred, but we are open to training the right person. We are looking for candidates specifically available for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Qualifications - Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or older. Prior coaching or experience working with kids, knowledge of the sport of Ninja a plus; strong background in gymnastics/obstacle training and or fitness; ability to communicate, demonstrate, cue and spot all participants through obstacles; strong passion for inspiring children and individuals to achieve fitness goals and overcome obstacles. CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified. Successful candidate must pass a background check. Resume submission is optional, but highly encouraged.
