Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Major Position Responsibilities: The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Qualifications: Qualifications RN Experience: Two (2) years Acute Care RN experience required with at least One (1) year in Labor & Delivery, required.Ability to circulate, recover C/Sections, and to scrub, preferred.Qualifications RN Transitional Experience: One (1) year Acute Care RN experience, required. One (1) year Inpatient Women and Newborn experience, preferredCompletion of a specialty training program, preferred.Licenses:Current California RN License, required.Certifications:Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare ProviderCurrent ACLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare ProviderTransitional: within 6 months of hire.Current Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN or other approved course) required upon hire.Transitional: within 6 months of hire.Current NRP, required upon hire.Transitional: within 6 months of hire.Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.**To protect the health of patients and staff, and to comply with the new State of California mandates, all job offers are contingent on the successful engagement in the TCMC COVID-19 vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral.)**TCHD is an equal opportunity employer.
